Monday Give Away: UrthBag!
Monica Ralli, founder of UrthBags, has sent us this beautiful “Angelina” recycled magazine handbag for our Monday give away! Ooh, I hope I’ve made it before midnight…it’s before midnight MY time on the westcoast! It’s 10:28 PM
So if this counts, one way we like to be more green is turning off the heater to the water – turn it back on at night then off during the day. There’s enough hot water to last us thru the day.

I compost and use chicken manure from a friend’s chickens; I recycle glass, plastics, cardboard, newspapers, cans and bottles, and I have eliminated almost all commercial cleaning products from my household. I make my own window cleaner, use vinegar and water to clean and buy unbleached papers.

My favorite way to be more green is buy in bulk (and re-use my bags) and avoid buying packaged foods.
