Many thanks for your response, Susan. Oh my god: just watching your pics, I have hard time imagining better! And yet, you wrote that you are a low budget shooter. Your pictures do definitely not look low budget at all. To the contrary, they are stunningly beautiful and refers more to high budget quality photography. It is not so much about the camera as it is about your technique. There are a lot of great food photography sites out there that tell about lighting, etc. Lighting is probably one of the most important things that you should start working on. I just use an older Nikon D70. I am not up on the latest and greatest as far as cameras go. I also use a 50mm lens quite a lot. It is my favorite lens for food. But, once again, I am just a low budget shooter who is learning as I go.
