Raw Strawberry Banana Crepes!

Before I started eating a raw food diet, my girls and I had a Sunday tradition. We made Swedish pancakes. Butter, cream, whipped cream, white flour, and lots of sugar. Maybe a little dollop of Strawberries. They tasted great but guaranteed a food coma plus a day of feeling heavy and bloated. I traded a energized, productive day for a few minutes of culinary gluttony. I needed a raw food recipe to replace this!

As time has passed, my body will not tolerate white flour, sugar, and cream. Not to mention, the potential for damage caused from eating that way! Still, I missed that Sunday tradition. So, I decided to create a raw version of that special Sunday breakfast and I am thrilled by the results. These are quite easy to make, so give them a try! Be sure to start the crepes the night before.

I left the banana crepes in for 10 hrs at 115. They were rubbery. How long should they be in? It’s an Excalibur dehydrator. I made the “cream cheese” and vegetable crackers. They were delicious. The first raw recipe I did. Alas, the other two; veggie burger and yam bacon were not edible. I’ll keep trying.

Hi! Wiondering what the lemon juice adds to the crepe rather than simply processed bananas? Thanks! 🙂

It is there for flavor. Cheers!

Love the cream! Crepes turned out like fruit leathers, though. Maybe they were too thin.

What is the best way to store the crepes and about how long do they keep?

Hi! This looks super amazing! I was wondering, how do you dehydrate the bananas? I’m new at making raw food!

Taste divine, but I couldn’t get them out of the dehydrator in one piece. This is worse them my attept at fruit leather. Was I supposed to grease the plastic sheets? I had to scrape pieces off, some were still gooey but most would have been perfect if they would have just peeled off. I have a Nesco dehydrator, I used the plastic sheets for leather but I couldn’t get them to stay in round shapes, so I just spread it all around. I made 2 1/2 trays. Set them at 115 at 10 pm and woke up to a mess at 8 am. I would love to try this again, please help…

I only had frozen berries, so I added some strawberries and mint to the banana mix. They’re in the dehydrator now! If they taste that good licking the bowl, I can’t wait to try them in the morning! Thanks for the wonderful recipe! This is one of my first for raw foods (that might normally be cooked)! Great site by the way!

Don’t dehydrate them as long. They are a little chewy because of the ingredients and how they are made. 🙂

What dehydrator do you use? Also what are the 5 inch rounds that you put in your dehydrator?

I use the TSM dehydrator. Pour them into 5″ round circles. Like you would when you make pancakes in a fry pan.
